The Isley Brothers should have declined to even appear at the ceremony if they were going to be treated *that* shabbily.īack in the late 80s, the Grammy’s tried to pull the same nonsense toward the Hip Hop acts they called themselves trying to “award,” but refused to televise it…and a bunch of Hip Hop acts - including the nominees - publicly boycotted the show. Hell, even Macklemore’s corny ass knows he didn’t get that award justly, and that it was an undeserved win.Īnd as far as those R&B legends not having their honors televised, well hey if you accept back-of-the-bus treatment, then I guess you deserve it.
